Danny Dyson is a life-long resident of Alexander County, North Carolina. He graduated from Alexander Central High School in 1983 where he played varsity baseball. In 1986, Danny received an Associates Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Catawba Valley Community College. Danny was employed at the Alexander County Clerk of Superior Court’s office for 36 years, 20 of which were in the Probate Division. Danny was the Probate Judge for the last 13 years, with vast experience in estate probate and administration, guardianships and various special proceedings, including Petitions to Partition real property and incompetency proceedings. Danny retired as Clerk of Court in April of this year.

Danny has been active in the Alexander County community as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life chairman, Bethlehem CROP Walk committee, YMCA Management Council Board chairman, Alexander County Recreation Advisory Board chairman, Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center Events Committee member, and ACHS and East Alexander Middle School assistant softball coach.

Danny is also active in his church, East Taylorsville Baptist Church, having served as a Youth Sunday School teacher for 25 years, and as a Deacon.

Danny is married to Kendra Warren Dyson, and they have 2 children, Derek and Kaylin.

Danny is the legal assistant to attorney Caryn Brzykcy in the area of Estate Administration.

Alexandria (Alex) Corbett is a dedicated paralegal currently residing in Statesville with her two children, Hudson and Blake.

Originally hailing from Alexander County, Alex has established herself as a valued professional in the legal field.

Alex’s academic journey started at Alexander Central High School, where she laid the foundation for her future success. In 2009, she proudly earned her bachelor’s degree from the esteemed University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a major in Psychology.

Complementing her legal expertise, Alex also holds an inactive license as a North Carolina real estate broker.

Joining Harbinson and Brzykcy in 2018, Alex initially served as the office manager for their Statesville location. At that time, the firm was recognized as Harbinson, Brzykcy & Corbett, LLP. Displaying her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Alex effectively managed administrative responsibilities within the office.

In 2021, Alex transitioned to a new role as the legal assistant to attorney Joel Harbinson, specializing in the area of Traffic Offenses and Marketing. Leveraging her comprehensive understanding of legal proceedings and her ability to support attorneys, she continues to contribute significantly to the firm’s success.

With her extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Alex Corbett exemplifies the qualities of a highly skilled and proficient paralegal, making her an invaluable asset to any legal team.

Angela (Angie) Baker hails originally from Ohio and more recently, Florida, but has embraced North Carolina as her home for the past several years,

Currently residing in Alexander County, she enjoys the scenic beauty of the foothills and the warm-heartedness of the locals. As a devoted single parent, Angie takes care of her adopted daughter, Ava, and her lively Jack Russell Chihuahua companion, Rowdy.

Angie’s journey in the legal field commenced at the age of sixteen, working diligently for various law firms in Florida. Her most recent tenure involved serving as a litigation paralegal for over a decade, specializing in insurance defense, representing esteemed clients such as State Farm, GEICO, Florida Farm Bureau, and the Florida Sheriff’s Risk Management Fund. However, her passion for aiding injured plaintiffs led her to transition to a plaintiffs’ firm, where she could fulfill her aspiration of securing maximum benefits for those seeking justice. The satisfaction derived from assisting clients with personal injury, social security disability, estates, wills, and real estate cases propelled Angie’s desire to expand her knowledge.

Looking towards the future, Angie is eager to embark on a new educational path by enrolling in the paralegal program at Caldwell Community College. Additionally, she intends to acquire her Real Estate license. These pursuits reflect her unwavering commitment to professional growth and the pursuit of excellence in her chosen field.

Angie serves as attorney Caryn Brzykcy’s paralegal in the areas of Personal Injury/Wrongful Death, Social Security Disability, and Estate Administration.

Breanna Johnson, a dedicated paralegal from Wilkesboro, North Carolina, brings her passion for justice to her work. Residing in her hometown, she embraces her role as a stepmom, providing care and support to two wonderful boys named Maddix and Elias.

Breanna’s educational journey began at Wilkes Central High School, where she laid the foundation for her future success. She continued her pursuit of knowledge at Surry Community College, graduating with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Technology in May 2022. During her time at Surry, she distinguished herself by obtaining certifications in Civil Litigation and Real Property Law, showcasing her expertise in these areas.

While attending Surry Community College, Breanna actively engaged in the Paralegal Technology Club, further honing her skills and expanding her network. This involvement allowed her to develop a strong sense of camaraderie and fostered a deeper understanding of the legal profession.

Currently, Breanna serves as a trusted paralegal to attorney Joel Harbinson, specializing in Criminal and Domestic Law. She works closely with Mr. Harbinson, assisting him in providing exceptional legal services to their clients. With her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to upholding the principles of justice, Breanna proves to be an invaluable asset to the team.
