Angie Baker
E-mail: [email protected]
Angela (Angie) Baker hails originally from Ohio and more recently, Florida, but has embraced North Carolina as her home for the past several years.
Currently residing in Alexander County, she enjoys the scenic beauty of the foothills and the warm-heartedness of the locals.
Angie’s journey in the legal field commenced at the age of sixteen, working diligently for various law firms in Florida. Her most recent tenure involved serving as a litigation paralegal for over a decade, specializing in insurance defense, representing esteemed clients such as State Farm, GEICO, Florida Farm Bureau, and the Florida Sheriff’s Risk Management Fund. However, her passion for aiding injured plaintiffs led her to transition to a plaintiffs’ firm, where she could fulfill her aspiration of securing maximum benefits for those seeking justice. The satisfaction derived from assisting clients with personal injury, social security disability, estates, wills, and real estate cases propelled Angie’s desire to expand her knowledge.
Angie serves as attorney Caryn Brzykcy’s paralegal in the areas of Personal Injury/Wrongful Death, Real Estate/Deeds, Wills, Social Security Disability, and Estate Administration.

Jan H. van Bergen

Jan just recently joined Harbinson Parker as the Business Manager for their Statesville office. She grew up in Statesville, and raised her family here. Once she and her husband were empty nesters, they moved to Charlotte. After nearly twenty years, they decided that it was time to come back home.
She has had a lengthy career in office management, including legal, real estate/construction, and retail. After the move back to Statesville, she had planned to retire, but soon realized she needed a bit more to do. A chance meeting with David Parker led to her new position.
Although her position does not involve working with clients and their cases, she is dedicated to ensuring that the support she provides to the firm helps ensure that, from a financial perspective, the case is handled appropriately.
